Market Research Analyst

The Market Research Analyst is principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings. To accomplish this task, the Market Research Analyst works with the client to understand, define and document the data for consumption. The Market Research Analyst is responsible for all matters relating to research in support of strategic planning, business development and business evaluation and assessment; applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations and reports; consolidating information into actionable items directly for principal users

Responsibilities:

· -Conducting in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods

· -Authoring reports containing actionable recommendations

· -Making presentations—answering questions

· -Understanding of competitive landscape of government industry, contractors and investor analytics

· -Knowledge of government NAICS, SIN and PSC coding, acquisition processes and relative purchasing trends

Requirements:

· -A minimum of 3 to 5 years within the custom Market Research industry

· -Government industry experience a must

· -1 to 3 years of industry/sector experience

· -Strong analytic and critical thinking skills

· -Experience cleaning and mining datasets

· -Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities

· -Demonstrated ability to synthesize, analyze, and communicate complex information succinctly

· -Excellent knowledge of database applications and online tools (i.e. Federal Procurement Databases)

· -Expertise with MS Office programs, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, internal search engines and business research tools.

· -Solid knowledge in competitive intelligence, web analytics, report development and working knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data mining.

-Bachelors or advanced degree in marketing, business, mathematics, statistics, or the sciences.
