Market Research Analyst - asset management

A global asset management organisation is looking for an Analyst to sit within their Global Client Insights team in EMEA is responsible for all aspects of strategic market research, marketing analytics and user research for the EMEA region. This is for 6 months with potential extension.

The individual will report directly into the Head of Research for EMEA providing support for various projects across the firm’s business lines and distribution channels. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a desire to excel. A “can-do” attitude is crucial to the success of this role.


Supporting the EMEA research manager with the management, execution and analysis of primary global and regional market research projects
Liaise with external vendors to ensure external vendors deliver according to agreed timings projects,
Creating project plans and maintaining/updating timings schedules throughout projects
Review and appraise all interview questionnaires or qualitative discussion guides for quality control.
Develop and manage the third party research calendar (syndicated research), as well as the distribution of reports to relevant stakeholders.
Work with internal stakeholders such as the PR & Comms team, or country Marketers, to answer ad hoc queries
Create and tailor presentations for individual teams and markets
Work with European marketing teams to ensure all research materials are tailored appropriately for each market
Support and manage process around the development of the bi-monthly Global Client Insights newsletter.
Assist in the maintenance of the Global Client Insights team’s space on the firm’s internal knowledge-sharing website
Liaise with internal Sourcing and Legal teams to ensure contracting processes with current and prospective vendors are expedited efficiently



2:1 degree in relevant academic subject
A “Can-do” attitude and a willingness to learn and succeed
Strong project management, organisational, planning and time management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
Experience of dealing with both qualitative and quantitative datasets
Proven ability of being able to articulate complex points clearly and concisely
Proven ability of being able to tie research findings back to strategic business objectives
Motivated with natural curiosity and a willingness to be flexible
Capacity to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong command of Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Some knowledge of statistical techniques preferable, e.g. regression analysis
