Market Planning Consultant

Position Description

The person in this role will be responsible for the management of work through the Marketing Contact Solutions team. MCS is responsible for processing Direct Marketing campaign data requests for the enterprise and delivering through to print/email/telemarketing vendors or internal client management systems. This includes Direct Marketing campaigns across all the organizations' lines of business.

This is a fast-paced, high volume, multi-tasking work environment, and requires someone with strong Program Management and Partner Alignment skills. The candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, highly organized, have a strong technical aptitude, and have a working knowledge of direct marketing and/or database marketing

  • Define team processes to ensure integration with broader group intake and delivery processes.

  • Gather partner feedback on sufficiency of current processes, identify improvements and work with partners to socialize and gain alignment.

  • Manage weekly Production meetings, including recording and distributing minutes.

  • Identify resource constraints and actively work with partners and leadership to resolve through re-prioritization.

  • Maintain and update the Job Run Schedule database.

  • Maintain and update the Customer Analytic Project Database

  • Assign work and set delivery priorities for team members.

  • Manage the overall Project Workflow to ensure timely project delivery

  • Document Management

    Responsible for:
  • setting up and supporting the team's document collaboration area.

  • ensuring project documents are updated on a timely basis and are properly version-controlled

  • ensuring Scope documents receive stakeholder approvals in a timely manner.

  • Meetings/General

    Responsible for:
  • developing and distributing agenda for weekly team meetings

  • Reports

    Aggregating and assembling data for monthly team project report


    Candidate should have:
  • experience in a program leadership role

  • strong organizational and partner management skills

  • understanding of direct marketing processes and principles

  • experience in delivery of data-centric projects

  • an undergraduate degree in Marketing, IT or Information Management discipline

  • ability to multi-task on time-sensitive projects

  • a strong technical aptitude for computer and database applications

  • strong skills in MS Office suite, specifically Excel; Access desirable
