Market Intelligence and Analytics Manager

The Market Intelligence and Analytics Manager is responsible for all competitive research conducted on behalf of the company research and marketing skills. This is a highly visible position within the company and provides support for Marketing and Executive management.
Analyze Competitor Strategies and Trends


Responsible for collecting, analyzing and assimilating competitor intelligence content to support company positioning and sales messaging.
Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related products and services.


Identifies future trends by watching the new product roll-out of competitors and by keeping abreast of customer reports on future needs.


Communicate key findings on competitive products, publications, strategies to management and sales. Develops sales tools to support competitive messaging and tactics
Attend relevant conferences for industry, physician, and customer groups on behalf of company to gather valuable market insight.


Create Business Intelligence Tools


Create the necessary business intelligence tools (such as comprehensive databases and spreadsheets) to provide the best sources for information.


Communicate complex data to management through reports, dashboards and other required outputs
Create Custom Dashboards and Reports for Management


Develop competitive selling tools to support commercial efforts


Strategic Marketing


Lead portfolio planning efforts in the company including new products, product line extensions,
Work closely with R &D/Clinical/product management to define market opportunities and clinical use case.



Market Research:


Design and implement market research projects.
Perform primary and secondary market research and work with external vendors to design and execute primary research projects.


This position has financial responsibility of making department expenditures. The Market Intelligence and Analytics Manager interacts with: Sales Management, Marketing Management, IT, Clinical Affairs, Finance, Outside Market Research firms. Additional duties are: interpreting/analyzing market trends; preparing financial reports for the executive team; and has one direct report.


Skills

-5 years Industry experience in lifescience/pharma/biotech required
Demonstrated analytical skills to synthesize complex topics and communicate to multiple audiences.
Prior Sales experience a plus
Excellent communication skills.


Education

Undergraduate degree in Business/Economics. MBA preferred.
3-5 years Industry experience in lifescience/pharma/biotech required
