Long term contract opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst for Professional Services Team in NY, NY!

Professional Services Market Intelligence team develops market-based insights to drive strategy, product development and decision-making across the Professional Services business.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst. As the Market Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, understanding competitors and transforming this research into actionable analysis to support offer development and delivery teams. You are expected to develop an expert knowledge across select technology areas, adjacent markets, key competitors, through primary & secondary research to help align Professional Services Organization’s product strategy with the evolution of market needs and expectations. You will also closely track mergers and acquisitions, quarterly and annual earnings, new product releases, and significant deals of key competitors and major market players.

Core responsibilities: 

Market Intelligence Domain Expertise – Possess global expertise on Professional Services industry for market sizing & trends, business models by utilizing 3rd party and internal research resources. Help develop Market Insight reports for measuring, tracking and reporting on market trends and business models that could impact the business. 

Competitive Domain Expertise – Develop a strong understanding of our client's Professional Services org.’s offerings. Ensure both global and regional coverage and understanding of the Professional Services industry competitive landscape including vendor share, customer demographics, solution strengths and weaknesses, win/loss, go-to-market strategies, M&A activities, etc. for key established and emerging competitors. 

Technology Domain Expertise– Develop and communicate perspectives on the key technology trends impacting the Professional Services industries and related IT market (for e.g. Internet of Things (IoT), Security, Intelligent Networking, SDN (Software Defined Networking), Customer Experience and Cloud Computing).

Required skills and business acumen: 

Experience in conducting secondary market research for 3+ years; ideally- a significant proportion of which is one of the technology areas: Security, IoT (Internet of Things), Intelligent Networking or Cloud Computing  Strong knowledge of syndicated research company resources and tools
 Ability to infer actionable insights from strategic research, tactical research, and secondary/syndicated research, and effectively communicate those insights  Knowledge of data analysis and statistics  Comfortable with working in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, juggling competing responsibilities and meeting demanding deadlines.  A team player and collaborator who is comfortable working in a small team  Ability to think big while paying close attention to details  Experience with establishing and documenting team processes and operational guidelines  Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills  Expert proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Education and experience  Bachelor’s Degree Required; Graduate Degree (MBA) Preferred  3+ business experience ideally in IT, strategy, business development, marketing or consulting with knowledge of Professional Services Industry.
