Our client is seeking a consultant to support their Business Intelligence for their individual product teams. This role will be involved in a number of key responsibilities:

Local Market Intelligence: In this role, you will own the development process of creating a local fact book for each market that provides quality information for all business units trying to do business in that market.

Strategy & Planning: You will work closely to provide the Marketing team with regular, actionable insights on the local markets and competitor trends. Your role will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and packaging key market data, such as: opportunity data, demographics, sales execution, network data, competitor info, and producer share.

Innovation: You will be asked to bring new ideas on how data analytics can be leveraged to create value in the field. As a result, you will look for opportunities, develop business cases by partnering with marketing teams, and deliver measurable results with metrics.

Tactical Initiatives: You will work with the Sales and Campaign Management teams to help design and execute initiatives. This will involve working with Sales Managers in key markets to make sure local action plans are executed with key deliverables – such as creating recommendations on how to more effectively engage third party brokers within a local market, or reviewing the broker business penetration within a market. You will also work with Marketing Communications teams to help them effectively track and monitor the results of their marketing programs, which include: direct outreach, collateral materials, Web, events, etc.

Collaboration: This role will partner with many teams within this large matrix organization, including: Field Sales, Sales Effectiveness, Product, Campaign Management, and external strategic partners (consultants, research vendors, etc.)
In addition, you will be asked to work as a liaison to share market insights and analysis for initiatives that work across different teams.

Data Management: You will be responsible for gathering and organizing data from critical internal and external sources for use on National Accounts. This will require creating a system to easily pull and distinguish the most relevant information. You will also be asked to leverage salesforce.com and other data sources, and to deliver key information such as which prospects and brokers are being targeted by competitor marketing campaigns.
