Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst/Manager

The Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst/Manager will play a key role supporting the Digital Consumer Group (DCG) at X Networks Group. DCG operates the digital apps and websites for X Networks. Millions of users stream video across these apps on devices including mobile phones, laptops and connected devices. This role is responsible for communicating key competitive insights to the DCG leadership team and providing materials to help shape DCG’s product launches, taking consideration of the competitive landscape. 

This position represents a significant role within the Digital Insights & Competitive Intelligence team and will identify the differentiation of DCG’s offerings as compared to our competitors, provide actionable competitive intelligence to key stakeholders, as well as influence the roadmap of DCG’s apps, websites and offerings. Senior leaders will view the individual as a subject matter expert. 

The ideal candidate should be able to communicate insights in a clear, succinct way. Strong writing and verbal communication skills are a must. This role requires a highly organized, self-motivated, resourceful, solutions-oriented individual who is able to execute well in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple, concurrent projects. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, analytical and flexible. 

Specific Responsibilities 
• Organizing, planning, and executing analyses; translating findings into business implications and/ or recommendations 
 
• Integrating competitive intelligence and market research with secondary sources to craft logical and holistic stories that drive action 
• Develop and maintain up-to-date competitor and market profiles including current strategies, future launches, pricing changes and product gaps 
• Rapid-response updates to competitive moves in the digital video market 
• Serving as internal subject matter expert in specific areas of competitive intelligence and maintaining awareness of industry trends and developments, such as Subscription Video on Demand and digital TV services (such as Sling TV) 
• Developing written presentations and reports for senior management 
• Managing deliverables from inception to delivery 
• Presenting and socializing recommendations within DCG 
 

Qualifications 
• 3+ years experience in consulting, market or competitive intelligence, strategy, business management or related field 
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative information and present concise, easy-to-read findings to an executive audience 
• Capable of identifying actionable, relevant business insights and packaging them into compelling stories 
• Analytical, creative thinking and research skills with ability to think tactically 
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written 
• Self-starter, ability to work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team 
• Media/Entertainment industry experience is a plus 
• Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills 
• Bachelor’s degree
