We're seeking a Marcom & Merchandising Manager to develop and implement various marketing activities that contribute to team's efforts to drive revenue and margin.

This is a temp-to-perm position (temp is 90 days). Salary is $70-85k.

This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing activities including national and account-specific promotions, displays, merchandising, brand and category education, traffic drivers, sales tools, and program performance analysis for key accounts. Contribute to the team’s efforts to drive revenue and margin. Support multiple product categories i.e., wiper blades, appearance chemicals and performance chemicals across multiple key accounts. Lead/Support strategic initiatives: grassroots, consumer relationship management (CRM) & corporate PR.

Manage development and implementation of highly focused programs for top company brands.
Manage development and implementation of integrated marketing activities with key retailers.
Manage and coordinate grassroots events, CRM activities and public relations.
Ensure all customer and promotional messages are consistent with brand strategy and deliver against customer and consumer insights.
Work with sales and customers to identify and implement traffic drivers to support initiatives. This could include media tags, radio, FSIs, direct mail, email blasts, etc.
Work closely with supply chain, agencies, sales, and customers to develop and coordinate successful and on time implementation of marketing programs resulting in increased customer support of the brands. Tools include: customer specific promotions, special packs and displays, point-of-sale materials, circular ads, consumer education, trade programs, etc.
Perform analysis of programs and displays to determine margin, revenue, ROI, etc. In addition, perform post-analysis of executed promotions and displays to determine the success or failure, as well as future viability.
Financial analysis includes familiarity with financial statements, key account discount levels, and product profitability.
Working with Director, MARCOM & Merchandising, develop promotional plans and calendars for key accounts. Work closely with sales managers and customers to ensure successful sell-in of new items and programs.
Provide input to sales for line reviews, and in many cases, join sales in customer meetings.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and retailer marketing departments.
Proactively seek out strategic partners and cross merchandising opportunities both inside and outside the categories.
Set clear priorities and reduce complexity.
Create a sense of team via strong cross functional management skills.
Grasp opportunities with enthusiasm and take on tough challenges.
16. Manage and be accountable for a balanced budget.
17. Meet the needs of multiple groups including supply chain, finance, 3rd party manufacturers, sales, brand marketing, consumers and customers.
18. Thoroughly evaluate each opportunity and consult with both brand and sales on ways to improve the financial performance or performance in the marketplace.
19. Meet tight timelines due to difficult customer requests.
20. Swiftly move between strategic selling and tactical support, on multiple products for multiple customers.
21. Other duties as assigned.


7+ years of Marketing and/or Sales experience
4-year undergraduate degree required (Preferably in Marketing, Management or Finance)
Strong experience working with project management details and meeting deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to manage expectations of internal sales force and external customers
Ability to demonstrate leadership through influence, especially cross-functionally among many priorities
Experience in developing and executing promotions and marketing programs, particularly those described in the job accountabilities.
Customer focused with ability to objectively assess opportunities and adjust to customer changing needs
Demonstrated success in working on cross-functional teams with the ability to influence peers and others in order to accomplish objectives of multiple projects
Industry knowledge of promotional tactics, advertising mediums, and social media
Effective communication and influencing skills
Excellent organizational skills to be effective and efficient
Must be able to travel up to 15% of time

Interest or experience in the automotive category is preferred and considered a plus.
