This position is primarily responsible for development, execution and management of the marketing communications plans that support the business and marketing objectives for our client’s clinical products. The role is part of the Account Management team within the internal agency. There is close partnership with the Product Development department as well as various specialty marketing groups and external partners to ensure timely and flawless delivery of the plans. Key impact comes from understanding the Product and Segment Marketing objectives. Talent must also bring fresh ideas by identifying opportunities to increase message consistency to employers, producers and customers, while seeking opportunities to reduce costs.

Responsible for ensuring the timely and effective development, approvals and execution of the product marketing communications plans.

• Work with Product Managers to obtain Product Solutions Positioning Statements for use in marketing communications planning.
• Develop Marketing Communications Plans, Project Proposals and Creative Briefs supporting client and customer communications, including collaboration with subject matter experts and other matrix partners. Ensure messaging aligns with the Product Positioning, the brand, customer-centricity and other objectives as appropriate.
• Continually watch for opportunities to innovate to improve their competitive position in marketing communications.
• Identify critical opportunities to communicate to internal audiences and provide editing/ review support to ensure consistency of messaging.
• Initiate projects with Creative Services, and support the development of production schedules and budget estimates to meet project requirements.
• Provide additional information via Kickoff Meetings to enable copywriters, designers, illustrators and creative vendors to create and execute on concepts and messaging.
• Secure final sign-offs from subject matter experts, project owners and compliance/legal team.
• Provide support to sales marketing communications, as required (e.g. forum presentations and support, sales stories, playbooks, segment-specific product information).
• Collaborate effectively across functional areas to optimize and leverage programs where opportunities exist.
• Provide ongoing project updates to management and internal clients.
• Manage plan execution within the budget.
• Establish and track program metrics to demonstrate business value and impact.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement in agency value. Collaborate with appropriate agency team members to validate and implement improvements.
