This is a really exciting long term contract opportunity (approximately 9 months) for an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to be part of an organization involved in the responsible use of natural resources.

In this position you will:

- Be responsible for developing and delivering communications materials and channel initiatives as it relates to print and digital media, earned, social and paid media.
- Engage and supervise suppliers, manage contracts, research content, coordinate high profile events, and manage and edit writing and creative design.
- Works under tight deadlines, coordinating suppliers to ensure the final product reaches stakeholders in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that materials are designed and produced to meet the needs of the marketing programs
- Manage the research and development of content for publication of communications materials, ensuring the continuity of content, key messaging and graphic design standards across all communications media (digital and print);
- Work with suppliers and key stakeholders and provides creative and editorial direction for digital and print tools and materials such as websites, video, advertisements, factsheets/brochures, presentations and educational resources, supervising each project from start to finish.
- Develop and manage media buy plans, including the negotiation of advertising space and costs and booking of space;
- Manages and work with suppliers and key stakeholders on earned and social media plans, as well as continuing education placements.
- Coordinate and manage planning and logistics associated with trade shows, marketing, stakeholder and other corporate events as appropriate;
- Attend appropriate local tradeshows and conventions
- Contribute expertise to the development of the program’s marketing & communications plans;
- Conduct performance-measure evaluations; develops processes and metrics and works collaboratively with the Market Outreach team to summarize results and impacts of investments of events
- Assist in the development and execution of project-specific communications, marketing plans from initial start up to completion
- Act as a point of contact for clients, supplying and managing schedules, specifications, budget and content and ensuring coordination among staff;
- Interface with developers, designers, consultants as required;
- Ensure paper work is in place, such as updating work plans, preparing and managing budgets, obtaining quotes, schedules, contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, and other reporting, etc. as per internal policies and procedures;
- Monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of products or services and manages the files and various activities on the shared drive.


You should have:

- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, promotion management or international trade;
- Great administrative and Project Management skills
- 3 + years of relevant experience;
- Experience in the oversight, development and production of print, broadcast and electronic materials;
- Experience in contract management and supervision;
- Knowledge of natural resources management and environmental product issues and opportunities scores extra brownie points
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal demonstrating a high level of tact, diplomacy and judgment;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Strong knowledge of public relations and issues management principles and practices;
- Understanding of media planning and established networks and contacts;
- Issues analysis management and conflict resolution skills to provide support to senior executives;
- Ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of information into concise summary materials or reports;
- Experience in oversight, development and production of print, broadcast and electronic materials;
- Excellent customer service focus that addresses the underlying needs of the organization and the customer;
- Ability to work in a team environment, assess priorities and multi-task, competently performing a variety of activities with a high level of accuracy and within a fast-paced work setting;
- Preferred: strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign, Photoshop & web based products;
