Manager/Senior Manager, Bio Oncology , IA-Patient Insights - 3873627

In this role you will be involved in commercial planning efforts by providing unbiased, objective, in-depth information about current and future markets, product performance, customers, and competitors in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, you will identify critical business issues and opportunities for growth, collaborates with teams, and work to embed an external market point-of view into the strategic direction of the company with the goal to improve patient outcomes.

This role will be part of the growing Patient Insights group within Industry Analytics. This position will be responsible for generating patient insights in order to increase the strategic focus on patients for designated brands or business units by:

• Collaborating with Commercial partners across the organization including Sales, Brand Marketing, interactive Patient Marketing, and eMarketing
• Planning and executing patient-focused market research
• Advising on Patient Insights and market research methodologies and strategies.
• Serving as a strategic thought partner on patient strategies for designated brands or business units.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* MBA or advanced degree preferred, with an undergraduate degree in science or business preferred
* 5 plus years relevant bio/pharmaceutical experience, strategic marketing preferred, with emphasis on direct-to-patient or direct-to-consumer campaign development through execution required
* Demonstrated success in entrepreneurial environment
* Experience in patient market research with emphasis on positioning, patient communication strategies, deep insight mining and target refinement (consumer segmentations)
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines
* Strategic planning and problem solving experience
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration ability
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction
* Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Partner with key stakeholders on the development of patient-centric strategies, objectives and tactics, acting as a key strategic thought partner to brands considering patient needs.
2. Support brand and/or portfolio level market research plans to support strategy development, create analyses and recommendations from results of research to tell a compelling analytical story.
3. Successfully employ primary and secondary market research techniques to accomplish the above. Act as industry expert on patient research, bringing innovation to the team.
4. The person must be able to prioritize, organize, lead teams, handle multiple projects, manage and collaborate effectively with internal customers (commercial, development, product portfolio planning) and external business partners (market research vendors, advertising agencies) as well as demonstrate strong follow up on action items and management of timelines.
