The Manager of Security Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing efforts in both strategic direction and people management. This Manager is responsible for leading the design and creation of demand generation campaigns plans for worldwide sales and marketing use; as well as be the knowledge expert and resource internally for all security engagements. This management position requires a deep understanding campaign management and demand generation programs, as well as proficient knowledge of network and application security topics. Responsible for upholding Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
Internal and external subject matter expert on all things related to marketing security solutions including but not limited to:
-Ability to build/execute strong campaign plans for Security
-Construction of security solution content
-Trends and drivers in the security market
-Deep understanding of the security buyer and their buying process
Strategize on security marketing team requirements with Director of Security Marketing to recruit, hire, maintain and lead all new approved headcount.
Lead team of security marketing resources to build comprehensive security marketing solutions, reference architectures, white papers, and supporting content and ensure all timelines and launch schedules are adhered to.
Research, build and deliver strong product and solution planning in conjunction with Product Marketing solution definitions and use cases
Lead team in driving strategy and vision for your focus areas, collaborate on GTM plans and deliver campaigns - plus building and evangelizing campaign plans to worldwide field marketing teams.
Compile feedback and requirements for standardization to the Product Marketing group
Meet directly with strategic customers on security opportunities to gather requirements, solicit feedback and articulate the Security Solution value proposition in coordination with sales
Coordinate with Business Development and manage the sales engagement and communication of any security focused third party partnerships. Ensure the field and channel understands these solutions and routinely communicates solutions in a standard format.
Assign and distribute team responsibilities to all team members and ensure compliance to timelines and requirements.
Represent Marketing on all security related initiatives including coordination with both PM and PD and participate on all planning and architecture discussions as designated by the Director of Security Marketing.
Collaborate with SP and Core/Cloud Marketing Architecture teams under the Sr. Director of Marketing Architecture
Lead Security marketing team on all external events including the development and delivery of content and strategy for AGILITY Summits, ISC events, RSA, forums, user groups and other activities designated by the Sr. Director of Security Marketing
8+ years of experience in a managerial role
Minimum of 7+years of security focused solutions development and marketing experience with strong emphasis on solving customer challenges requiring an understanding of both application and network technologies
Bachelors degree in computer/engineering, marketing, communications related field or equivalent work experience
