This position assists in managing, executing, supporting and controlling Direct Mail activities for the Automotive Conversion Marketing organization. This will be a centralized marketing role, working collaboratively with the team of Automotive Conversion Marketing Managers, other internal departments as well as external vendors.
• Write, revise, edit and proof copy for direct mail letters and brochures. Write copy that strategically promotes various discount offers to subscribers.
• Work with marketing team to produce detailed set-up plans for mail house; launch new direct mail campaigns/tests, create new brochures
• Serve as liaison between the team of marketing managers, printer/mail house and internal creative/production department
• Maintain high quality, error free execution for each print project /direct mail package
• Look for ways to refine, improve, edit or simplify direct mail packages and the related mail house processes
• Strive to improve sales effectiveness of direct mail; research/analyze delivery timing of direct mail
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and clear/concise messages in direct mail copy and layouts
• Work with the creative team, legal and brand marketing to obtain approvals and implement changes
• Maintain lists of current /upcoming direct mail campaigns and print jobs; ensure that mail house keeps their website updated
• Manage inventory for all package components – forecast and track quantities, update and re-order materials
• Track and manage costs – direct mail, postage and fulfillment costs; work with vendor to obtain pricing for reprint quantities; look for ways to save money
• Assist with keeping printed samples organized and with maintaining quarterly historical archives and sample notebooks
