Manager Print Production-Creative Services-NY

Manager of Print Production/Creative Services/NYC

This position requires the ability to plan, oversee printing of marketing materials from invitations to brochures and various other collateral.

II. Manage the production of all printed pieces within the Creative Services department from job initiation through to delivery of printed materials.

III. Create and manage timelines in order to adhere to client-mandated delivery dates. This includes monitoring the workflow within the traffic and design departments in order to ensure that print schedules are being followed.

IV. Create estimates for print, fulfillment, and shipping of all printed materials within the Creative Services department (POS, Collateral, Out-of-Home, Premiums, In-Store Displays, etc.).

You will be working closely with the Creative team to produce outstanding work and need to have a proven record in print. Must be highly organized and enjoy juggling multiple projects. This individual should also demonstrate a passion and knowledge of design, technique, practice and technology, possess a superior work ethic, computer knowledge and experience.

II. Cultivates and grows positive client and vendor relationships

· Maintains fair business practices on behalf of all our clients

· Researches and develops innovative strategies/creative ideas for the agency.


· Manages jobs through the Production Process in an organized and efficient manner, which includes:

o Develops estimates

o Provides production schedule

o Ensures timely development of spec sheets for all jobs

o Tracks costs and insures budgets are maintained

o Monitors the accuracy of the jobs through the mechanical and final file release stages

o Maintains accurate print sample files

· Abides by set agency process and procedures

· Triple bids all purchases according to client direction

· Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor

III. Performance Standards

· Creates designs to best serve the clients needs

· Is receptive to client feedback and recommendations

· Keeps a positive attitude when dealing with heated situations to help diffuse the crisis in an expedient, professional manner

· Able to troubleshoot situations and deal with any unique situations that may arise

· Enforces agency policy and procedures


· Ability to conceptualize, design and direct work to provide the best solutions for the client.

· College degree preferred

· Minimum of 4 years experience in the production department of an advertising agency.

· Excellent working knowledge of artwork reproduction and retouching process

· Knowledge of the Mac and PC

· Work daily with Word, Excel,and Creative Suite

· Flexible in working extended hours to meet deadlines
