Manager, Internal Communications(Temp to Hire)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Internal Communications, the Digital Internal Communications
Manager will help drive the strategic development for the company Intranet and internal social media
channels. This Manager will create and implement content development plans with clear objectives,
activities, schedules, and measurable success criteria.
S/he will establish tracking, monitor behaviors, set goals to improve engagements, modify strategy and
tactics to deliver against engagement goals for company's internal website and new social media
platform. In addition, the Manager will set priorities for technical / user enhancements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Digital Channel Manager
o Drive the strategy for the Intranet
o Create and implement content development plans with clear objectives, activities, schedules,
and measurable success criteria
o Deploy methods to increase readership
o Establish development schedule priorities
 Digital Channel Manager for Yammer (enterprise social networking service)
o Stimulate employee conversations and collaboration on Yammer
o Lead the advocate group / local community managers
o Educate on the value and use of Yammer
o Build content strategy incorporating best industry practices and providing guidance to content
contributors on effective information-sharing tactics (i.e., how information is conveyed to
employees throughout the association)
o Lead the enterprise launch and develop plan for growth and onboarding of community Own the help / feedback space content
o Seed and develop best practice materials for the various use cases
o Monitor community, encourage membership, facilitate discussions, manage “inappropriate
use” procedures
 Develop content that supports and builds understanding of the Guardian culture, strategic
priorities, and initiatives, as well as enhances employee engagement
 Partner with corporate business functions and profit centers to develop communications plans that
support their business objectives (e.g., awareness campaigns for internal controls, new HR
policies)
 Support Subject Matter Experts on best practices
 Monitor adoption to ensure action is taken when activity is below expectation
 Identify and implement opportunities for improvement

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years communications or marketing experience with
at least three in program or channel management. S/he will have strong knowledge of digital channels. In
addition the ideal candidate will have strong influencing skills at multiple levels of the organization with
the ability to connect business objectives with digital channel solutions.

EDUCATION:
Candidates will possess an undergraduate degree.

LOCATION:
This position will be located in our New York City, NY office.

COMPENSATION:
For the successful candidate, we offer an attractive compensation package which will include base salary
and annual bonus.
