Manager, Digital Experiment Researcher

Our large retail/CPG client located Bethezda, MD is looking for a data-driven Research & Marketing Manager to focus on A/B Testing & Optimization for a 1 year + contract assignment with high potential to extend or convert.

The Researcher of Digital Experiments coordinates and executes tests to improve customer engagement, bookings, and revenue across the company's digital touch points. This role is part of a team that partners with internal stakeholders to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and applies Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tactics against the company's digital properties. Tactics include A/B testing, merchandising, personalization and research.

The digital research department is critical to this success by providing competitive intelligence, customer insights and product input. This team drives value by using a test & learn methodology to discover the right experience for the right customer at the right time.


EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Be detail oriented:
 Translate business goals and objectives into experiment design briefs and IT technical specifications
 Forecast experiment traffic requirements, test duration and expected outcomes
 Develop and troubleshoot Adobe Target campaigns including application logic, HTML and JavaScript
 Work with front-end developers to identify the right technical solutions
 Work with QA to identify and mitigate experiment defects
Be results focused:
 Analyze test results, collaborate on findings, and document in PowerPoint
 Continually groom the experiment library with new and updated briefs and results
 Conduct meta analysis of data sources and identify critical customer trends
Be a great influencer of others:
 Be willing to learn before leading
 Listen, prioritize and respond to feedback from colleagues and supervisors
 Participate in daily stand-ups, identifying potential solutions to the day's tasks
 Support the Senior Manager in the execution of a testing roadmap for 1 digital business unit (a group of agile teams)


CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
This team is looking for and developing full-stack marketers (aka conversion optimizers, growth hackers and marketing technologists) to employ A/B testing in an agile environment. Individuals with the potential to be strong in multiple areas: analytical thinking, technology, user experience, marketing and psychology.

REQUIRED:
 A flexible mindset: analytical, creative and technical
 Bachelor's degree or 3+ years professional experience in: Information Technology, Analytics, Digital or Direct Marketing, Economics, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Digital Research, Statistics or similar fields
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
 Able to edit basic HTML

PREFERRED:
 Hands on experience with Adobe Target, Monetate or other A/B testing tools
 Hands on experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau or other data analysis tools
 Hands on experience developing HTML, CSS or Javascript
 Strong background with analytics, ecommerce or technology
 Bachelor's degree with 2+ years professional experience
