Manager, Copywriter

Our growing client is looking for a Manager, Copywriter to join their team on a Contract to hire basis.

If you have lead a team of writer, designers, developer then this is the right position for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the copywriting function by collaborating with creative services manager and graphic designer(s) to generate options for creative executions that fulfill the strategic and business objectives for each project; manage the production headlines and copy that integrate successfully with companion graphics; attend and actively participate in meetings to discuss the feasibility of proposed ideas and assess the effectiveness of creative work produced; establish strong relationships across departments and an understanding of client needs, the consumer experience, marketing strategy, and operational capabilities; create copy templates for ongoing use in consumer communications; look for efficiencies to improve turnaround time of deliverables; respond to project requests in a timely fashion to meet time-sensitive deadlines; participate in special projects; and perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years’ experience in website writing, promotional writing, direct response writing, and advertising copywriting (selected candidates will be asked to provide samples of previous work); solid understanding of the principles of promotional communications and direct response marketing; demonstrated competence in copywriting as evident in high level and complex promotional writing samples; experience copywriting and testing for online communications, including solicitation and email; persuasive writing skills, including the ability to create compelling copy that meet strategic and conceptual objectives; ability to target and vary tone and language messages based on medium, target audience, and product; ability to think conceptually, not just verbally; excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and produce high quality work; attention to detail; strong multitasking skills; and proficiency in MS Office. Prior supervisory experience. Bachelor’s in communications, marketing, journalism or English.
