Manager, Audience Insights

The Manager, Audience Insights is an engineering role focused on the end to end management of analytics solutions for Fox Networks Group apps, connected TV apps, and websites. The candidate should have both programming and analytic skills to support the implementation, trouble shooting, and maintenance of web analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have both the technical knowledge of how analytics systems operate and the background in statistical insight to guide internal clients to utilize these systems to improve the functioning of their business.
The Manager, Audience Insights is responsible for the ongoing analytics implementation workflow, as follows: Work with business stakeholders and analysts to understand the problem being solved and desired outcome of implementation. Work with analysts to guide and refine requirements. Define implementation additions and modifications. Develop tagging strategy. Manage internal and external engineers in implementation. Troubleshoot implementation issues. This requires strong knowledge of web, app and video player infrastructure. Work with project manager to keep track of progress.
The Manager, Audience Insights should understand the technical operations (tag generation and design, plugin implementation, APIs) of all measurement systems (ComScore Media Metrix, ComScore Video Metrix, Nielsen Site Census, Nielsen IAG, Nielsen Video Census, Nielsen GlanceGuide, Localytics, ChartBeat, Crazy Egg, BlueKai Tealium, Omniture) and ensure that these systems are implemented properly and function as intended.
Experience should include SQL, JavaScript, Ajax, Flash, and HTML, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Basic, C#, PHP, CSS, Perl/CGI. Omniture Implementation Certification is a REQUIREMENT.

50% Manage analytics implementation workflow. Define requirements for measurement. Manage internal and external engineers (internal to Video and Web dev teams/external development teams) on implementation process. Utilize Tealium to implement tags where necessary.
Work with engineers so that they understand what the implementation is trying to accomplish and are able to provide feedback from the engineering perspective, define JavaScript that needs to execute.

35% Design tagging strategy, Create javascript tags and implementation solutions designs for a variety of analytics software solutions including Omniture, Unica, Localytics, CoreMetrix and Google Analytics.

15% Q/A analytics implementations to ensure proper functioning.

Education / Experience: B/A in Computer Science Adobe/Omniture Certification
Language / Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas concisely.
Mathematical / Reasoning Skills: Ability to develop a thorough understanding of various online metrics. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
Computer Skills: SQL, JavaScript, Ajax, Flash, and HTML, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Basic, C#, PHP, CSS, Perl/CGI.
Experience generating tags in JavaScript, Action Script, and for mobile APIs (Android, iOS)
7+ years demonstrated experience in client-side web development.
Experience working with a high traffic website is a plus.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
3+ years experience with a/b testing, preferably with optimization tools such as Test&Target,
5+ years experience implementing web analytics solutions, preferably with Omniture SiteCatalyst.
Exposure to web diagnostic tools like Fiddler 2, CharlesProxy or Firebug
