LOCATION: San Francisco, CA
CONTRACT: Monday-Friday || 6-months
PAY: $26-$30/hr (based on experience)

OUR FORTUNE 500 ECOMMERCE CLIENT IS IN NEED OF A MARKETING SPECIALIST TO WORK ON DIGITAL PROJECTS FOR INTERNALTIONAL MARKETS (CANADA)

The Marketing Specialist of Online Canada is responsible for the strategic direction and day to day management of site content, email content, and promotional events for the Online Canadian market. A strong understanding of the operational functions of all three marketing pillars, as well as strong communication and organizational skills are key for ensuring success in this role. This person will report to the Marketing Director.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identifying key opportunities for the Canadian market and building a successful marketing strategy to drive these opportunities forward
• Utilizing your knowledge of market specifics to work collaboratively with other teams to build a marketing calendar that excites the Canadian customer. This includes collaboration with buying, US marketing, production, creative, and central teams
• Identifying key weather and cultural trends that are unique to the Canadian market to build and execute strategies for bringing product needs to life when they differ from the needs of the US
• Developing an effective promotions strategy that is relevant for the Canadian market by working closely with the buying team to identify unique market needs while leveraging the US plan as a starting point
• Driving the daily email strategy while pushing the channel forward through updates to our welcome series, triggered emails, and retention efforts
• Striving for improvements to the Canadian website by partnering with the US marketing team as well as production to implement new functionalities and ensure messaging aligns to seasonal strategies
• Acquiring new customers through innovative and unique tactics while retaining existing customers through identifying preferences and tailoring the experience with the Canadian eCommerce site
• Troubleshooting various day to day issues to ensure flawless execution
• Performing weekly and ad hoc analysis of business performance to continue to learn and implement change to improve all channels of the business
• Managing special projects that continue to drive innovation and move our market forward
• Prioritization and thoughtfulness in determining and actioning on projects that will have the greatest impact for the market
• Must be comfortable negotiating across multiple groups across the organization and advocating for the customer and Canadian business

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in marketing / direct marketing including the development, execution and analysis of multi-channel programs
• Strong data analysis and problem solving skills required
• Strong understanding of direct marketing best practices
• Comfort working with creative team and creative development process
• Organized, self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive with experience building strong partnerships and consensus across cross-functional teams
• Results oriented, attention to detail, willingness and ability to shift plans as necessary to meet overall business goals
• Self-confidence, energy and comfort working in and bringing structure to ambiguous situations and environments
• Knowledge of the Canadian market is a plus
