** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL MANAGER OF PRODUCTION **

SUMMARY:
The Manager of Production manages a Global Production team that is responsible for communicating and executing Brand product strategies by managing the product development process in partnership with the fabric strategy team. She/he works with a cross-functional team that includes Global Production, International Sourcing, Global Design, Global Technical Design, Global and Regional Merchandising and Regional Inventory Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:
• Understand, adhere to and manage brand pipeline calendars and checklists
• Understand design’s aesthetic requirements and collaborate with GIS to ensure samples development meets the Brand goals for quality and aesthetic while meeting targets
• Review departmental product needs from Global Design and Merchandising and inform GIS so they can expand global vendor and mill supply base
• Execute fabric/product strategies that leverage the category across the brand and company
• Leverage technical knowledge and leadership support to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Provide costing guidance that informs if the line plan needs are met
• Manage exception booking process
• Responsible for on-time delivery of samples for milestone meetings and reporting style level status and specifics to cross functional teams
• Manage and ensure costing accuracy in ACT

PRODUCTION EXECUTION:
• Manage pre class process
• Manage style tracker requests
• Manage fabric, style, sb and bas bookings and order confirmation
• Understand production execution issues and provide support in resolving them
• Help solve production execution issues
• Understand and influence cross functional peers to maintain quality attributes for a category

FINANCIAL:
• Understand divisional goals and work with team on strategies to achieve
• Provide guidance during targeting partner with fabric team on building a raw material costing guidance sheet that enable production teams to guide design in developing product into good, better best pricing architecture by department
• Manage liability process and influence global design and global merchandising to bring resolution to financial liabilities
• Manage department and oversee production team to help meet division aesthetic, quality and financial goals

PEOPLE AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
• Create teams and partnerships across functions
• Lead and manage global team for specific production category/categories

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 6+ years in Production/Manufacturing experience (with some experience managing others preferred)
• Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Web-based applications
• Effectively communicate in written and verbal form
• Detail oriented with strong follow through; Organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills
• Create and maintain a cooperative team
• Make effective presentations
• Emphasis on driving and influencing business
