Our client is a well-funded luxury automotive OEM start up who is looking for a Strategic Market Research Manager as part of the Product Planning Team. This position is responsible for providing strategic customer research and analysis to ensure customer requirements are incorporated into product strategy decisions.

The Strategic Market Research Manager will:

Provide strategic support and consumer insights to identify product wants and needs to ensure the cycle plan is consumer driven.
Liaise and interface with key internal clients to ensure their research requirements are met.
Manage the planning, design, execution, analysis, and reporting of segmentation research events within budget.
Manage research projects on-site, including analysis of results and development of management presentation.
Manage research supplier staff during research engagements to ensure project quality, design and analytics are aligned with business objectives and company standards.
Merge customer segmentation data with other market research and syndicated studies to report implications for the client.
Prepare Project Initiation Forms and Research Plan Discussion Agreement Forms for projects.
Electronically distribute reports and presentations.
Publish final reports and presentations.
Train internal client end users, if necessary, on to use research findings and/or gaming modules.
Handle procurement responsibilities for individual projects.

Skills Required:

- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an ability to translate and communicate analytical research findings into actionable insights.
- Proven capability to think systemically, strategically and analytically while executing decisively.
- Ability to integrate data and findings from other areas and present a holistic view of a position.
- Strong interpersonal, team building, and negotiating skills with a can-do attitude and an ability to work well with internal clients.
- Working knowledge of market research principals -- sampling, methods, analysis
- Strong project leadership and coordination abilities.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple assignments at the same time.

Experience Required:

- Minimum 7 years of market research experience, preferably in the qualitative research discipline.
-Experience in Advertising Planning, Archetype or Metaphor research a plus.

Education Required:
Minimum BS in Marketing or other social sciences (e.g., Psychology, Sociology)
