The Log Editor is responsible for creating the On-Air log and ensuring that all of the programming and promotional material is properly placed into the Wide Orbit Traffic database. This is achieved by working with Programming, On-Air Operations, Videotape Library, Media Planning and Post-Production-Services. Extensive coordination with Programming and Media Planning in the creation and modification of weekly program grids is required. Responsibilities will include:
- Process show formats in the Traffic system.
- Check program run-times for accuracy.
- Check for correct title information, episode number, closed captioning, spelling, program start times, and ID bumpers.
- Reposition promo material per promo contracts.
- Confirm and adjust all Harris automation codes for TV/V-chip ratings, check menus, out/return bumpers, voice over credits and squeeze credits for proper placement.
- Confirm all format break times and lengths in preparation for the placement of promo material.
- Implement all priority changes and title change sheets as soon as they are issued.
- Utilize play-date memo, series play-date package and other resources to ensure that logs are accurate.
- Process all FCC compliance reports and ensure placement of Sponsorship and Synergy spots meet current FCC Guidelines.
- Finalize and download logs to the control room. Keep Media Planning informed with runtime changes that affect the building of promotional, interstitial and synergy breaks.
- Assist the Manager and Director of Traffic Operations with various projects.

JOB-RELATED EDUCATION:
- AA degree preferred in Television/Radio Broadcasting or other related fields but not required.
