Live Events Broadcast Producer (3 month contract)

We are currently looking for a talented Live TV Producer to work on a popular entertainment platform. You will have experience of working on live events broadcast on either TV or the web (music, sports, award shows, entertainment etc).

You will be managing production budgets and have an understanding of pan-European broadcasts. You will possess strong project management skills and be confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders, as well as sourcing for production staff. Part of the role will involve dealing with 3rd party production companies on commissioned programming and acquiring broadcasting rights for sports events. Some travel will be involved.

Additional European languages would be a benefit, but not a necessity.

The purpose of the role is to create a series of live events, in order to increase time spent on the client’s multi-media platform.

The role will be paying £250 - £400 per day on a fixed term contract basis, running until the end of August 2013. The role will be based at the client’s office in Central London.

Key Accountabilities
• Quickly establish a working knowledge of live events production processes, stakeholders, work streams and the project plan.
• Lead the creative development of the event proposition and programme treatment, working with the Development Producer and event partner, and ensure that production requirements are addressed and fully documented in the budget, schedule and deal key terms.
• Scrutinise and negotiate production budgets to deliver the best possible value and quality for the brand. Television industry standards are a minimum requirement.
• Be the main point of contact for the event producer to finalise details of production, and provide liaison with internal stakeholders where related to the delivery of the production including the HQ live events production team, Streaming Operations, Design, Programming, Interactive Producers and other teams as required.
• Deliver a detailed and well-structured programme schedule, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, entertainment and differentiation through interactivity are met and create workback schedule in line with relevant SLAs
• Produce the live event playbook and distribute to internal and external stakeholders in advance of the event.
• Arrange and lead pre-production meetings and lead the event post-mortem with the producer and internal stakeholders and produce relevant documentation.
• Be present at the event location before and during the day/s of the event, and during the event host the conference bridge.
• Provide notes and approval of draft scripts, talent, rundowns and edits – with EP feedback
• Provide regular status updates to the EP and live events team
• Support the EP in the identification and sourcing of new live events that are relevant to EMEA

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience
- Working within heavily matrixed organisations
- Project Management: leadership, scheduling, managing risk, budget, stakeholders and the project plan
- Experience in sourcing, evaluating and hiring potential production partners
- Experience producing and post-producing live event broadcasts for web or TV, preferably TV
- Experience in localisation of video content
- Experience in interactive TV preferable
- Good working knowledge of the European TV industry

2) Technical / Functional Skills
- MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel literate

3) Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills
- Genuine interest in and passion for gaming and/or broader entertainment media
- Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship skills

4) Qualifications
University degree or higher

Special Requirements/Additional Information e.g. Language skills
