Licensing Associate

Major Responsibilities

Support the Marketing Manager with administrative duties, including but not limited to: filing, picking up and delivering mail, calendaring meetings, product archiving and storage.
Coordinate the approval process including preparing and organizing approval meetings
Receiving and logging-in submissions for approval
Pre-viewing all submissions for marketing and creative changes before presenting to the Marketing and Creative Managers
Verifying submissions have incorporated requested changes
Following-up on all changes with licensee
Coordinate communication between licensee and licensor regarding approvals, product samples, style guides, line lists and marketing commitments
Interface between Licensing and other divisions to initiate and secure brand trademark and copyright clearance
Ensure consumer product safety testing and compliance (CPI)
Organize new licensee orientations specific to the approval process
Create and update category product information, including product line lists, wholesale and retail pricing, retail placement and packaging dimensions
Coordinate retail presentations, including marketing materials and samples
Coordinate and troubleshoot scheduling issues and rush requests while maintaining a sense of the company's priorities
Maintain product archives (samples and storage)
Correspondence with Licensee

• Proactively coordinate development timelines to ensure properly timed marketing dates and product launches

• Request product samples and marketing pieces

• Update and maintain product line list for each licensee

• Follow-up to ensure line refreshes have occurred (e.g. logo updates new packaging implementation, etc.)

• Follow-up on Marketing Manager initiated requests (e.g. business reviews)

• Generate meeting and trade show notes


Organize, Maintain and Coordinate Samples to Support:

• Consumer Products trade shows

• Presentation meetings

• Public Relations and Marketing Initiatives

• Style Outs

• Photography

• Sample Library

Special Projects – cross category function

• Brand Consumer Products initiatives

- Retail road shows

- Marketing and creative summits

- Licensing shows

- Special retail initiatives

Assist Marketing Manager with

• Competitive analysis

• Store checks

Skill/Experience Required:

• 1-2 years Experience in a fast paced marketing, licensing & toy industry or fashion environment

• Be extremely organized and adept at multi-tasking

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
