Licensing Associate

Large consumer products and entertainment brand in Glendale is seeking a Licensing Associate to join their team. The Licensing Associate would work within softlines for the brand's baby line. This is a temporary role with the possibility of extension. The Associate provides support in managing a category of products and a portfolio of licensees in order to meet or exceed predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives

Finance and Business Planning:
o Manage correspondence, timelines, collection, and analysis of quarterly forecast and annual budget information and deliverables
o Assist with Invision data entry input

Brand and Content Management:
• In conjunction with / support of the Franchise team:
o Ensure timely approvals of licensee’s marketing elements in DMM approval system.
o Provide any licensee /product information in support of marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings

Marketing and Retail/Sales:
• Act as liaison and drive communication between Baby Marketing, Licensing Team, and Licensees.
• Ensure timely approvals of licensee’s marketing elements in OPA approval system.
• Provide all needed product and licensee information to the sales and marketing to support retail road shows and presentations
• Coordinate samples for quarterly photo-shoots
• Collect, consolidate and ensure accuracy of licensee lists. Disseminate to integrated retail sales as requested.
• Review customer reviews and complaints from social media

Category Management:
• Direct responsibility for at least one licensee and Special Projects as assigned
• Research and respond to licensee requests
• Provide support in the contract and amendment process
• Maintain and update buy boards
• Help identify and provide research and analysis (licensee specific, market, trends etc.)
• Analyze selling and sell-through data to understand product selling performance

Product Development:
• Set-up line review with licensees and Product Development team Collect and organize samples.
• With the Product Development team approve and maintain line lists
• Liaise with Product Development team to ensure timely approval of products which may include: lead meetings; coordinates programs across all categories; reviews line lists; responds to product development team in the case of OPA submission changes; executes merchandising plans; public relations and advertising coordination.
• Prepare product presentations included but not limited to internal line reviews
• Ensure licensee product lines reflect brand quality and brand/property objectives.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree + 2 years related experience or MBA
• High level of interest in category/licensing preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Highly detail-oriented
• Self-starter, motivated and proactive
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Solid presentation skills
• Strong computer skills (Keynote, Excel, Power Point, Word)
• Friendly, people oriented team player
• Able to handle multiple tasks and assignments.

Required Education BA/BS
Preferred Education MBA
