Licensing Acquisitions Manager

Strategic licensing development, which includes the maintenance and acquisition, and/or renewal of key licensing relationships and agreements.
Negotiate license agreements, contract extensions and addendums for key licenses, while interfacing with various internal resources (e.g.: marketing, finance, legal, royalty accounting).
Assist in evaluation of new opportunities and make recommendations for potential licenses that are aligned with the brand teams' current strategies and objectives.
Actively interface and participate as necessary in brand team meetings to ensure full understanding of product lines, to communicate contractual requirements and status of licenses, provide input in product schedules and roll-out, and offer strategic opportunities or solutions to challenges.
-Facilitate requests for information, such as asset acquisition, sales projections, and special product orders.
-Maintain and circulate departmental related reports and other internal communication on a regular basis to designated distribution lists.

Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and is proficient in negotiating/executing license agreements and reviewing P&L forecasts

Must be extremely detail orientated and organized, and is capable of working on and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners at all levels, including senior management across the company.
Product development knowledge and experience highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint.
At least 5 years' experience in consumer products brand licensing; specifically within the toy industry is an asset.
