Learning Experience Designer

Our client is looking to create best-in-class learning that sets us apart from the rest of the industry (status quo learning is not our thing). You should be an innovative learning professional with experience and a passion for developing scalable learning solutions that are learning experience centric. That is, those that delight and engage the learner and go beyond the traditional rapid eLearning solutions. You are comfortable working with any level of employee or manager, are an expert at evaluating requests and driving them from start to finish. You are flexible and work well with changing deadlines and compressed timelines.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and interface with the broader L&TD team and other learning designers
• Work with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop content, ensuring learning framework is scalable and global-friendly
• Validate learning objectives and ensure the content is relevant
• Design and develop best-in-class learning experiences, leveraging latest technologies including video, interactive learning, HTML5 etc.
• Leverage internal learning and development tools, like our internal learning portal LearnIn, to showcase learning materials
• Develop prototypes/proof of learning concept to vet learning solutions pre-development
• Must be proactive and a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be a team player that enjoys collaborative work environments

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 + years’ experience designing and developing technology-enabled learning solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Proficient using a development toolkit to create multimedia and visual design (i.e. tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Captivate)
• Able to build wireframes and interactive prototypes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of UX design principals, including information design and architecture
• Expert understanding of adult learning theories and principles
• Experience in building robust metric based evaluations
• Experience using HTML, including using CSS, Javascript or other like technologies
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, primarily focused in L&D
• Experience developing and editing learning videos in a product like Camtasia
• Knowledge of LMS and SCORM compliant learning
• Experience with Agile /Scrum or other Agile development methodologies
