Learning & Developing Consultant

We are looking for a learning and development professional to design and develop a new e-learning solution for external customers. About the regulator: Our statutory objectives are set out in legislation and include promoting and improving understanding of the good administration of work-based pensions to protect member benefits. Broadly, our powers can be divided into the following types:
• Preventive - used where there is an immediate or chronic risk to members' benefits.
• Detective - used where we need to investigate the cause or consequences of a particular problem.
• Educative - used where it is clear that the trustees or others do not have the necessary knowledge and understanding to carry out their duties.
• Remedial - used where benefits have been damaged and we want to reinstate them. Penalties - used to emphasise the importance and value of compliance in protecting members' benefits, and to deter future non-compliance Education forms a key part of our value chain Educate-Enable-Enforce

Main Duties/ Responsibilities
• Lead key stakeholder discussions to shape the education brief, working with policy, research and our customer proposition teams to identify the core user group (s) and understand the education proposition in context
• Aligned to the educational brief, work with the policy team to research and identify the key audience • Conduct a learning needs analysis
• Work with the policy team to develop business impact, workplace outcome and learning objectives alongside an evaluation plan
• Design an appropriate eLearning solution to meet the agreed objectives and the needs of the identified user (s) group / audience
• Achieve sign off of solution proposals via appropriate governance processes • Produce a project plan to write, build and deliver the solution Work with subject matter expert content writers in other teams to produce high quality learning scripts

Skills/ Experience Required
• Consulting at senior management team level, leading stakeholder discussion
• Practitioner of the full learning cycle
• Experience of designing sophisticated, eLearning solutions
• Good understanding of experiential and accelerated learning techniques and the different learning styles Desirable
• Finance or pensions background

Formal Qualifications Required
Desirable Certificate in training practice (CIPD) qualified or equivalent
