Lead/Senior Information Architect

We’re looking for a senior/lead information/content architect to join one of Boston’s top international travel agencies. This organization is a leader in the direct market arena and has a mission to impact the lives of people where they work and travel. With their three sub-set brands, they are leader in the travel space!

In this role within the web technologies team, we’re looking for someone who can define content structuring guidelines, content management requirements and helps drive implementation of content management tools. The Content Architect works to develop business protocol for content management and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products/systems.

Some of the responsibilities include:
• Develops content development guidelines for the business with a focus on how to structure content and product page designs to enable and ensure re-use.
• Helps refine workflow and infrastructure requirements based on new content management and deployment needs
• Maintains and implements best practices re-use strategies
• Designs XML/semantic markup for reuse and multi-channel publishing from single source content. We also work in javascript and angular and while this isn’t a must have for experience, any basic understanding with this is a huge plus! However, we have a robust development team and this is NOT a developer role.
• Establishes and leads content management site map, priorities and investments

Job Requirements:
• 6-10+ years of experience in UX content and site architecture
• Strong understanding of user experience design and how this impacts the site architecture
• A light understanding of coding skills to work with the development team including javavscript, angular, HTML and XML
• Experience in building scalable web applications

HUGE PLUS:
• Any experience with a shopping or e-commerce experience site
• Strong understanding of major architectural domains in IT (applications, data and infrastructure) with in-depth understanding and experience in the application area
