Lead Visual Instructional Designer, Articulate Required

You will oversee curriculum development projects from conception to completion and lead a small team of instructional designers, graphic designers and multimedia professionals. Some projects will require that you facilitate the design process by leading other designers, while others will need you to directly project manage the design effort. You will be expected to personally take on the design and development of high-visibility/complex projects.

You will be charged with orchestrating and inspiring resources to deliver world-class learning solutions that will engage or re-energize learners. This will involve delivering curriculum in a variety of modalities that include traditional classroom training, workshops, learning labs, computer-based training, mobile learning, and self-paced materials. Whichever delivery method(s) are chosen, how it is presented (visual look and feel) of materials, visuals, etc. is very important.

Because you will be expected to produce beautiful looking content that mirrors our corporate branding standards, you should have a strong eye for design and an ability to mimic look and feel. Familiarity with traditional typographic and graphic design/art techniques is strongly preferred.

Additional Responsibilities
• Secure information/content from subject matter experts, external partners and other parties as needed for courseware development/re-development
• Design, pilot and launch new curriculum as needed
• Partner with subject matter experts/stakeholders to obtain and validate courseware content
• Assist with the implementation of training solutions
• Eventually establish/sustain relationships with stakeholders to ensure custom/timely response to training needs.
• Continually introduce new tool and processes into the training development process
• Work with training department leadership to meet design goals efficiently, effectively, and within the specified time frame and budget while exceeding the expectations of stakeholders and learner population

Qualifications

• Solid ability to multi-task / project manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
• At least 5 years of instructional design experience
• At least 2 years leading teams
• A complete and thorough knowledge of the different training modalities
• Knowledge of the ADDIE process
• Experience in managing multiple projects and people resources
• Inspirational leadership style
• Tech-savvy
• Bachelors Degree or higher in related field
Technical Requirements
• Command of Windows 7 environment
• Expert knowledge of Articulate Studio and or Storyline (both preferred)
• Very good with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Very good with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
• Prior experience with learning management systems (LMS) - preferred
