As the Lead Visual Designer, you will have a key role in defining and evolving the client’s brand and aesthetic. We are looking for someone that can think strategically and become our Creative Director. While this is a hands-on position, you will also have the chance to grow and coach our design team, who sit in our Marketing and Product Development groups.

You will have the space and the freedom to think deeply and holistically about the visual languages we use across all mediums and all products. You will be a key player in defining the success of the client as a company.

More specifically, you will be responsible for establishing, communicating and executing the brand vision of the company and keep it cohesive by considering the production, design and technical limitations inherent in each project.

You will have final approval over all artwork and marketing materials produced by the client and will be responsible for creating the approval process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Shepherd our brand. You will collaborate with external vendors, marketing and sales to grow and maintain a cohesive and impactful corporate brand.
Produce high-quality visual designs. From concept to execution, you will own the visual design of the product across desktop, web and mobile devices.
Participate in regular design reviews. You will need to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively, receive feedback (and know when to ignore it) and iterate effectively.
Drive projects and get things done. We are an agile, iterative environment where speed is paramount.
Ideate and execute special projects. What can we do to make a splash? You will ideate and help execute special marketing initiatives (info-graphics, interactive experiences, physical collateral for special occasions such as internal celebrations etc…) to grow awareness of Treasure Data in the marketplace.

YOU ARE
A master of your craft. You have an impeccable aesthetic style. You know design fundamentals like the back of your hand and know the principles of composition, form, shape and color, layout, typography.
Intelligent and resourceful. You aim to make an impact by producing awe inspiring work. While good design should not be rushed, you can deliver greatness without getting stuck. Last but not least, you are comfortable in a startup: This does not mean sleeping at the office and working all weekend, but that you can improvise when necessary and work independently.
Well-rounded. You read constantly on a diverse variety of topics. You like to travel, learn new languages and try to understand how different people see and understand the world. You make your own stuff. Even if you never show anyone but yourself, you just like to get out there and create new things. You like to play, try different styles.
An excellent communicator. You have a proven ability to build great relationships, and convey and debate design rationale. You are the person that people can’t wait to collaborate with.
