Lead User Interaction Designer

User Interaction Designers - we have a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity in San Francisco with a widely-recognized financial services operation. We are looking for an expert user interaction designer who can help develop an enterprise intranet platform used by thousands of employees on the daily basis.

As the latest member of a new team tasked with the development of an enterprise intranet platform, this position will be responsible for the design of a clean, easy to use interface and aesthetic. This long-term project is part of a greater systematic migration from a legacy software currently in disrepair. In partnership with a highly collaborative team of expert developers and designers, this position will design look and feel guidelines as well as advising the Director of Enterprise Coordination on best practices through production sprints.

- Develop look & feel guidelines for user interaction design
- Manage content migration efforts by designing intuitive, easy to understand interfaces
- Champion design pivots in production meetings with senior leadership teams
- Gather user requirements from a diverse collection of business units
- Oversee platform implementation and course-correct design on the as-needed basis

- 4+ years of UI Design experience, ideally working on intranet and/or social media platforms
- Experience managing data intensive applications, ideally working with information architects
- Ability to confidently speak to design approaches and articulate guidelines to cross-functional teams
- Independent, Self-starter a must as this role provides a considerable degree of autonomy
