Lead Interior Designer

The Lead Interior Designer provides expert design direction, consultation and product specification, consistently delivering gracious customer experiences to Design Center visitors. In addition, the Lead Interior Designer drives global awareness of the brands by conducting internal and external interviews and presentations as required and providing design mentorship to other associates.

FUNDAMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Experienced professional with a sophisticated design aesthetic, demonstrating creativity, innovation, passion and technical mastery in the Interior Design field, space planning and design services, preferably possessing multiple areas of specialty or expertise.
• Consistently confident and competent with high-end customers.
• Recognized professional leader experienced at educating and mentoring others.
• Ability to successfully negotiate new areas and deliver solutions.
• Expert people skills, high emotional intelligence.
• Articulate in both written and spoken mediums, comfortable in public situations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive Design Services and works with various clientele in the development of functional bath and kitchen design solutions for the consumer, hospitality and commercial markets as required.
• Complete space plans and product specifications across divisions and brands including a full range of kitchen and bath products at varied price points, tile and stone, mirrored cabinetry, lighting, furniture and generators.
• Work in collaboration with other Interior Designers and Product Consultants.
• Involvement and input on high-level global and national accounts projects.
• Mentor, lead and teach industry best practices, trends, and standards to associates.
• Act as an internal resource for areas of design expertise, sometimes speaking to affiliated associations or groups in demonstration and selling situations.
• Partner with Public Relations and Marketing on design initiatives, conducting interviews and presentations as needed with local, regional and global media.
• Creates and contributes to educational programming, and CEUs.
• Identifies and attracts design influencers and manages relationships.
• Liaison with key design-focused departments within the company.
• Deliver fiscal accountability within assigned projects.
• Maintain knowledge of design industry and trends.

Position may require some travel; up to 10% of the year.
