Lead Designer

Our enterprise technology client is seeking a designer for the online side of a prominent global marcom team, focusing on layouts for a well-known website.

-The Online design team creates web page layouts, imagery and virtual product tours for the data center solutions content area–from servers, storage and networking to converged, cloud and big data solutions–as well as related launch announcement emails and other marketing materials. The lead designer will provide hands-on visual design for assigned web pages and associated digital assets, working closely with marketing directors, creative directors, art directors, copy directors, copywriters, account managers, project managers, video producers, production artists and other graphic designers.

-Responsibilities include researching, planning, proposing and producing graphic designs for a variety of web pages and other digital vehicles, including product category pages, product details pages, solution pages, marcom landing pages, merchandising banner ads and launch emails. The lead designer will also master user experience design guidance and adhere to brand visual guidance to ensure quality and consistency of all creative. Duties may involve working with vendors, contractors and other outside resources to manage the production process, as well as contributing to marcom creative as needed.

-Specific Skills
• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design
• 4-6 years of graphic design work experience, preferably for a global organization
• Mastery of graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, grid)
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Scene7 (Edge Animate, After Effects preferred)
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
• Proficient in HTML/HTML5 and web design applications (Dreamweaver) preferred
• Strong ability to take direction and deliver with little direction
• Strong ability to multi-task, work on several competing priorities
• Strong ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
• Extreme attention to detail and consistency, an inherent drive for creative excellence
• Must be able to clearly articulate creative ideas and demonstrate creative process
• Strict adherence to brand VID and online UX guidance
• Strong project management skills
• Photography experience a plus
• Must provide resume and portfolio (design samples) in PDF or web link format
