Lead Copywriter

Our client, is seeking a freelance Copy Lead to work with their busy team. This role will be responsible for interpreting the strategy, creative brief and ultimately crafting copy assigned to him/her. The Copywriter will partner with the team assigned to fulfill all required tasks. This includes client meetings, internal kick off sessions, strategy sessions, internal/external pitches and internal sign off to name a few. The Copywriter will partner with designers and seek approval from Creative Director on all projects, while working through the Traffic Manager. Candidates should be self-directed, deadline-oriented, consultative and experienced in communicating client objectives successfully. Copy to be written is both short form with a call to action - postcards, posters, headlines, taglines, emails as well as longer form - video scripts, collateral etc. Ability to concept or brainstorm will be a huge plus. This role will also be asked to be a Creative Lead on the team, reviewing work and providing suggestions when needed, so an eye for design and "what works" will be key.

Hours will vary with project, could be 20 hours/week or more. Must be available during business hours to discuss workload and turn around copy. On-site presence is strongly preferred.
