Lead / Senior UX Designer

Our client is looking for a Senior UX Designer who will want to become a leader / manager in the near future! The role is full time hours onsite in Lexington, MA and is temp to perm (full time)

You'll be working on complex web applications in this role and will participate in the user experience design lifecycle for multiple projects, including working with internal/external stakeholders gathering requirements, creating design options, gathering user feedback, and working closely with the product and development teams to iterate and implement quality designs. They need a team player who thrives on collaboration and has experience working within interdisciplinary teams, including developers, product managers and visual designers, and who is also capable of working independently to execute design and requirements deliverables.

Responsibilities:
Own overall end-to-end user experience - from the big picture (owning the overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout for a workflow.
Envision and develop intuitive, scalable, and engaging interactions and experience designs for multiple products.
Mentor junior members of the UX team.
Ability to estimate, plan and schedule project work on concurrent efforts.
Translate business requirements into innovative, usable and technically feasible user experiences.
Spearhead the creation of universally-understandable design documentation including detailed navigational models, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, process flows, task modeling, content structure, page templates, interface specifications, and functional specifications.
Facilitate group sessions with the internal/external stakeholders to identify and refine functional, content, and data requirements.
Ensure teams are applying UX/UI standards through design and development.
Assist in ongoing user research for assigned products, applications, or solution areas, as well as analyze and synthesize into functionality and product requirements to drive future redesigns.
Assist in designing and conducting usability testing/user feedback to incorporate into design iterations and improvements.

Must Haves:

5+ years of experience in a commercial software product company working as an information architect, interaction designer, or user experience designer, or related position.
Experience with fast-paced Agile projects, including rapid design iteration, writing user stories, and using Agile project management tools such as Jira.
Knowledge of software development process.
Mastery of user-centered design principles and practices.
Mastery of interaction design and information architecture disciplines.
Knowledge of international and accessibility design considerations.
Proven track record of translating business requirements into highly usable, best-in-class designs for web-based applications.
Mastery conducting heuristic evaluations and competitive research/analysis to inform requirements.

Preferred experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, Visio, Axure, iRise, or similar.
