Labeling Specialist

Seeking a Labeling Specialist for a 12 month+ contract. Need Strong Pharma/healthcare candidates!

Position Description and Responsibilities
• Manages and implements the processes for creating new, and revising existing, labeling content documents throughout the complete product lifecycle.
• Works with Promotion Integrity, the appropriate teams and the Studio Manager to develop proper labeling content.
• Accepts and incorporates feedback from Promotion Integrity into layouts.
• Maintains accurate document labeling and associated change control.
• Ensures content and artwork are compliant with internal labeling policies, standard operating procedures and health authority regulations.
• Assists with responding to internal and external labeling audits and activities for developing and maintaining procedures, guidelines, and document templates.
• Recommends changes to processes and workflow to simplify and continuously improve overall functionality within the department.

Skills and Knowledge Desired
Mandatory
• Thorough understanding of the labeling process and related issues (medical/safety/regulatory/corporate).
• Strong knowledge of FDA and marketing guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Sound, efficient, detail-oriented layout skills to produce labeling documents using a variety of programs, methods and techniques.
• Excellent command of graphic design principles and practices, formats, typography, printing, and layout.
• Exceptional project management skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to develop consensus on disparate issues
• Possess a general understanding of operations relevant to a packaging/manufacturing process.
• Willing and motivated learner who has mastered new technologies.
Preferred
• FDA certification.

Experience/Position Requirements Desired
Minimum
• Bachelor’s degree, typically in the health/science/nursing disciplines.
• 3-5 years of creative/graphic design plus 3 years’ agency/studio/publishing experience.
• Proficiency in Mac/PC environments and all major desktop publishing apps, including QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Acrobat.
Preferred
• An advanced degree in the sciences or pharmacy.
• 4+ years in a medical/pharmaceutical or related design environment.
