Lab Coordinator

The Lab Coordinator, works in close collaboration with the Lab Manager and Sr. Lab Coordinator to ascertain, communicate and coordinate the needs of the lab as an individual entity and as a part of the larger Research organization. This position will assess equipment, applications and special requirements and at times deal with highly sensitive and confidential information (e.g Salaries, Hiring/HR issues & Credit Card #s).


• 4+ years’ successful experience in complex Professional or Production environment, experience in Technical environments preferred
• Demonstrated Project and Resource Management experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with tact
• Ability to deal professionally with all levels of employees
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate such information to a wide audience
• Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills


· Work closely with R&D Manager and Sr. Lab Coordinator to maintain up to date recruiting information
· Coordinate potential Lab visits for prospective New Hires, Visiting Scientists, R&D Associates, or visiting Corporate employees
· Create and distribute documents to inform Legal contracts for Consultants which are directly affiliated with the Lab
· Assist with gathering any necessary supporting documentation for candidate visa applications

New Hires
· Organize office space, furniture, computer, phone, supplies, etc. for new hires.
· Welcome new hires, go over welcome packet and help with logging in.
· Process and distribute all new hire paperwork in collaboration with Sr. Lab Coordinator, including I-9 processing, E-verify, PRNR/SAP login set up
· Ensure that new hires are signed up for any necessary orientation courses/functions.

SAP Super User/Primary Contact
· Primary contact for Lab employees to assist with all SAP functions
· Coordinate travel for Lab Director and Research Scientists, plus additional lab personnel
· Track and Report Lab Expenditures for Lab Manager and/or Director
· Process and Submit purchase orders for all necessary project equipment/supplies

· Work with Lab Director and Research Scientists to coordinate overall Lab projects including:
• All-Hands Meetings
• Off-Site Group Activities
• Lab/Research Community Events

· Schedule system upgrades with the IT Resources team
· Point of contact for all new system and software deployments for the DRP Lab


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• SAP experience is a must


Work is performed with minimal direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignments. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion. Problems worked on are of a complex nature.
