Kids Content Merchandiser

Our client, a major consumers electronics company, is currently searching for world-class professionals to join their fast-paced, results-driven team in San Jose, CA for a 6-month contract.

Position Summary:
The Content Merchandiser will be instrumental in the management of the this company’s children’s storefront including merchandising strategy, app selection, and curation. This experienced individual with a proven track record will be responsible for aligning on-device storefront management with broader marketing efforts for mobile applications phones, tablets and connected devices. Individual must be detail-oriented as well as be able to understand and drive towards the big picture. Analytical and quick thinking in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of merchandising and app curation including schedule, app selection, marketing themes, and daily operations to meet KPI.
- Engage with internal product management, marketing, design, content sourcing and testing teams as well as app developers as necessary.
- Conduct detailed analysis and create detailed reports on merchandising effectiveness and application performance to identify trends, new marketing opportunities and continually evolve merchandising.
- Identify CMS improvements and product feature enhancements that will enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard merchandising documentation including business rules/requirements, manuals, action items, agenda, minutes and project plans.
- Identify, recommend, and manage the implementation of new processes and improvements
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to drive progress and manage implementation to achieve measurable results.

Background/Experience required:
- 3-5 years of experience managing mobile app or digital content merchandising strategy, planning and operations.
- Prior experience working in child development or child psychology field.
- Prior experience working in a technology firm or marketing agency.
- Understanding of the mobile and web industries.
- Fluent in Korean a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, consumer psychology or child development preferred

Necessary Skills/Attributes:
- Very strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal skills.
- Understanding of merchandising, operating, and launching services in the US market.
- Capable of managing several high profile programs and project activities to completion.
- Comfortable with presenting in front of business executives and non-English speaking audiences
- Travel: Foreign and domestic 10%
