Our client creates expressive and beautiful luxury cars that are environmentally conscious. They deliver them with personal attention to customers in the global marketplace. Their customers expect high levels of personalization and customization and the client intend to deliver on that promise.

Our client is in the process of developing and launching new cars for the global marketplace. As a result, the company’s product development process is significantly increasing in scope. This Product Manager candidate will contribute to the product development process by helping to translate the voice-of-the-customer needs, our brand essence and the company’s business objectives into attainable vehicle attributes. This person will contribute to the formal documentation of those attributes in product program materials and assist in driving their execution over the course of the product development cycle.


Translate the voice-of-the-customer needs into descriptive and objective vehicle attributes
Develop and actively provide vehicle attributes requirements in written and oral communications
Represent the best interests of the assigned vehicle program while in in engineering, marketing and/or business-oriented discussions.
Contribute thought leadership into the process of determining the tradeoffs during program development
Represent the voice of the customer in engineering, supplier quality and technical reviews
Represent the voice of engineering and operations in marketing reviews
Proactive interface with other disciplines in the value chain as required including supplier quality, purchasing and manufacturing.
Contribute to the company’s competitive benchmarking knowledge base
Lead internal and external research efforts


B.S. in Engineering is required
Additional or advanced degree in engineering and/or business a plus

Related Experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience with automobiles a plus

Skill / Knowledge
Background in automotive light duty product development processes and terms
Business acumen and an awareness of basic financial terms and practices
Direct or in-direct vehicle integration experience including powertrain calibration, testing, vehicle ride and handling
Competency in MS Office products including Word/Excel/Powerpoint/MSProject

Physical Requirements
Bending, stretching, reaching while in the office/shop/plant environment
Holding and lifting automotive parts of light/moderate weight
Travel up to 20% possible
Licensed driver
