Junior/Midweight Powerpoint Designer

Our client is a leading investor relations advisory firm, offering services to corporate clients across the globe. Their management team have worked together over many years and draw upon decades of advisory, corporate and institutional experience. The team in London are around 13 people and are looking for a motivated Designer to join them to help them expand in order to do great things.

Job Purpose:
As the Presentation Designer, you will be using your advanced skills in the Adobe Suite and MS Office to design, produce and format branded documents for the consultancy's external clients. The ability to adapt to various visual identities is important as you will work with a variety of client's brands and templates.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have a deep understanding of PowerPoint, as the job will require creating presentations from scratch and also editing/tweaking previous ones that have already been designed.
- The candidate should be comfortable communicating with senior-level clients in order to understand their concepts and interpret them visually. Presentations are frequently created in the client's brand with third party companies, so the designer should be able to shift gears and adapt to different brands/aesthetics.
- The candidate will also be producing a mixture of other work which will include reports, brochures, white papers and eBooks.
- The ability to work thoroughly and independently is key.
- Ensure work adheres to all best practices and style guidelines, unless otherwise specified and work toward 100% accuracy against style and brief.
- Organise work effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Work to continually improve your knowledge of the core software applications and provide any testing, piloting and support in line with business requirements.
- Proactive raising of creative ideas or emerging trends in line with the business objectives. An understanding of social media would be hugely beneficial here as the client would like someone to help roll out their digital strategy.

Competencies:
- You will be self-motivated, have the ability to work on own initiative and have a mature, calm outlook and style of communication
- Ability to work as part of a team within a fast moving environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Understands importance of brand and can work within established standards
- Experience in a deadline-driven environment is essential and you must have the ability to multi-task across multiple projects

Skills:
- A proven track record in presentation production & design
- Excellent design sense and awareness of current design trends
- Good knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Advanced level MS Office (primarily PowerPoint)
- Background in using social media would be beneficial

**Investment banking / financial industry or similar experience would be an advantage**
