Are you a Digital Designer looking to gain more experience at one of the world’s largest tech companies?

Our client, the world’s largest software company are looking for a Digital Designer to work on creative banners, email banners, creating graphics for the Social Media teams.

You will have excellent Photoshop skills, Image editing and ideally some video editing skills, as well as excellent communication skills being able to ask the right questions to figure out what is really required. The Digital Designer role will also offer you the opportunity to work closely with the UX and the Social media.

You will be degree educated or equivalent with a degree in Art or Graphic Design.

The role is offered on an initial contract running until the end of June 2014 with a view to extend. The salary for the Digital Designer position is £22,000 – £25,000 per annum + benefits, such as 25 days paid holiday, a discretionary annual bonus of up to 15% and subsidised gym and cantine on-site. The client is looking for someone to start ASAP.

Responsibilities will include:
 Take design briefs to deliver well-crafted final products which adhere to corporate brand guidelines.
 To provide design and creative services on a variety of marketing projects. This will range from quick turnaround projects in response to social trends and breaking news to implementing creative web and email banners and assets.
 Aiding project managers in providing design and production consultancy and assistance in the planning of projects (e.g. provision of estimates and timings).
 Design and infrastructure of websites that including graphic content, site navigation, and layout of content with a good understanding of user experience and usability.
 Design and produce email campaigns in accordance with best practice HTML coding.
 Create engaging creative design concepts to meet the clients brief.
 Produce graphic assets for a variety of target platforms including social media channels such as YouTube, Twitter, Blogs and Infographics.

Essential skills:
 Demonstrable design skills (portfolio and project reports) focused particularly on translating given requirements into well-crafted digital products (Site graphics, web pages and entire sites plus online campaign materials including online banners, microsites, adverts, takeovers, eDM, etc)
 Experience working within brand and campaign style guides and recycling assets for online/digital use
 Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills plus good knowledge of design for HTML and CSS . Javascript knowledge an advantage
 Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team mates, with experience of extracting requirements and briefs from stakeholders and articulating ideas recommendations back.
 Demonstrable ability to self-manage with excellent task and schedule management Skills

Desirable qualities:
 Ability to work closely with customers (internal and external), understands their requirements, articulate proposals and deliver accordingly.
 Motivated self-starter who likes working on very productive, fast-paced teams.
 Strong experience designing for online/digital outputs
 Self-motivated, competent and flexible designer with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a broad and adaptable style
 Self-motivated around the world of digital design, you keep yourself abreast of all developments, techniques and technologies
 Video editing skills would be a bonus.
