Junior UX Designer

A digital agency in the Oxford Circus area of central London are looking for a Junior UX Designer to join their team. They are looking for someone to come in on a freelance basis for an initial 1 month period, converting to something more permanent should all go well beyond that.
Working predominately on one of the agency's big-name retail clients to begin with, as a part of the UX team you will work closely with the research, design and development teams to produce best-in-class digital experiences.
You will become part of a fast growing Digital Agency, creating websites, apps and digital experiences of all kinds, across a variety of devices and social platforms. All for some of the best-known and most innovative brands in the world.
They're looking for candidates with a real passion for creating interactive experiences through user analysis, prototyping and innovative interface architecture.
You'll bring experience of usability testing and user research techniques to the team, supporting and leading areas of projects through the planning, concepting, testing and wireframing phases. You will present your highly visual approach to their clients, guide the design and development teams and be responsible for ensuring the final work aligns with the experiences the agency has set out to create.
You must demonstrate a highly detailed approach and have an exceptional portfolio that you can use to show us why you think UX is the most important part of the team!
The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and passionate about usability. This is a great opportunity for a UX designer to continue to develop as part of a fast-growing team working on some great client accounts.

They'd love to see this:
• Experience at a top level Digital Agency, having supported UX initiatives on major websites or applications
• Collaborative approach with strategy / research teams to understand user behaviour & develop personas
• Knowledge of design patterns and digital technologies to collaborate effectively with designers and developers
• Experience producing:
• Sitemaps, card sorts, taxonomies, nomenclature and resulting user journeys
• Wireframes, interaction diagrams
• Prototypes in-browser using HTML & CSS, Axure, HotGloo or similar
• Competitor reviews, site & digital audits
• Experience facilitating or supporting:
• Usability and emotional response testing (lab & remote)
• Stakeholder workshops & interviews
• User workshops & interviews
• Brainstorms
• Analysis of results from all of the above
• Good understanding of social
• Comprehensive understanding of the capabilities (and limits) of HTML & CSS
• Ability to read and write HTML & CSS
