Vitamin T's client, a marketing and public relations agency, is looking for a Junior Social Media and SEO Associate to join their team in a temp-to-perm role!

The Position:

The client's Digital Research & Analytics team is looking for a Junior Social Media and SEO Associate to work out of our New York office. This role will work with research specialists based around the globe and will work closely with the Vice President of Digital Research and Analytics and Project Managers who are based in the NY and Chicago offices. This role will be responsible for social media and digital listening and measurement projects in order to provide consumer and business insights to account and new business teams.

The Responsibilities:

• Assisting team members with consumer and business insights – not “data dumps” – to account teams and new business teams, to include:
o Analyzing and interpreting social/digital data
o Understanding client objectives to distill findings that are insightful and actionable
o Developing relationships with account teams. This includes regular and proactive one-on-one interaction with local account teams, and direct correspondence with account teams with supervision of project leads
o Understanding client objectives and ensuring deliverables meet those needs
• Develop concise, well-thought out reports and presentations that tell a story and serve to inform account teams and clients who may be less-versed with data from research and/or measurement platforms
• Under the supervision of project managers, conduct social media research and measurement:
o Learn the newest social listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch) to understand what consumers are saying about our clients’ business
• Foster and build professional relationships within the company
• Ability to work efficiently through multiple platforms (email, IM, in-person) and with colleagues in various time zones across the West Coast, Midwest, East Coast and London
• Strong familiarity with social media and online communities in relation to broader media mix
• Assist the VP of Online Strategy and Insights with Search Engine Optimization projects, including keyword research and website auditing

The Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, market research, public relations, history, English or related field
• 1-2 years research experience preferable
• Broad knowledge of social and digital channels and how they are used by businesses and organizations
• Aptitude to translate trends, technologies and metrics into conversational English
• Strong writing skills
• Interest in social media platform and how companies are using the tools to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to create partnerships and build connections that will drive business for the team
• Outstanding time management skills and ability to work independently while keeping manager informed of projects, workload and business opportunities
• Ability to analyze research and data to determine actionable project outcomes and strategic insights
• Experience with social media tools Brandwatch and Radian6, and Google Analytics.
• Interest or experience with Search Engine Optimization.
