Junior Graphic Designer: Print/Digital

Our financial services client located in downtown Hartford is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer for a 5 month contract assignment. The graphic designer position will be responsible for developing and producing print and digital collateral materials for marketing purposes in a fast-paced, production-oriented, internal Creative Services group. He/She will be part of a team of experienced designers and copywriter. The candidate will report to the Traffic Manager. Candidate must have a portfolio containing print and digital samples.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1- 3 years of graphic design, digital design or related experience
Proficiency in InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Acrobat and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate and present effectively to clients in visual, written and interactive form
Must have a basic comprehension and understanding of a wide range of pre-press, printing and digital technologies
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
Exhibits attention to detail/accuracy in a high-volume environment

Responsibilities:

Hands-on production and successful integration of visual design and content
Projects will include print marketing collateral, ads, email, web ads, web pages, PowerPoint and various promotional materials.
Research and gather photography and illustrations to be used as visual elements for project
Follow all templates and brand guidelines
Track and monitor time spent on projects
