Junior Graphic Designer

Vitamin T is on the hunt for a Junior Graphic Designer with a passion for health and wellness!

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conceptualizes, designs and produces visual promotional materials such as flyers, posters, banners, ads, brochures, logos, signage, display materials, e-mail marketing, etc. for all club activities, services and products
- Designs magazine page layouts and advertisements while also coordinating photographic content.
- Consults with Senior Director of Marketing and Department leaders to identify graphic needs, creative direction, concepts and specifications for assigned projects
- Communicates reasonable deadlines for the project, budget constraints, and reports production status/challenges during the design/production process to appropriate parties
- Coordinates the printing/ production process to ensure quality, writes printing and other reproduction specifications (pantone colors, paper, dimensions, etc.). Inspects proofs for accuracy and quality. Acquires production quotes for assigned projects to maintain cost effectiveness.
- Obtains photographs, artwork and illustration that may be used in assigned projects
- Coordinates proofing and approval processes with department leaders for assigned projects.
- May coordinate a graphics or photographic library and maintain digital records
- Creates and schedules digital signage advertising on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
- Trains managers and department representatives how to use digital signage software for event updates and monitors schedule content for up-to-date activities
- Makes creative suggestions for design assignments and/or challenges regarding the brand, promotions or marketing projects
- Ensures marketing standards are followed in all areas of responsibility
- Attends department meetings
- Performs special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- A minimum of a two year Graphic Arts degree and a four-year university degree in Graphic Arts or other related field(s) preferred.
- Three or more years of progressively responsible related experience in graphic design or
any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Trained in necessary software applications applicable to job responsibilities
