The ideal talent will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, communications, or similar concentration
• 3-5 years of work experience
• Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines on budget
• Strong communication skills: able to take direction, but also to give constructive advice as needed
• Ability and instinct to understand and predict client reactions and needs

Bonus Points
• Understanding of the opportunities and limitations of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Flash as they relate to a design’s translation into code
• Experience with motion graphics using Final Cut, Motion, or After Effects
• Experience working with some eCRM tools such as GetActive, Convio, Kintera and Democracy in Action
• Experience working with some content management systems and other implementation tools such as Joomla, WordPress, or MovableType

This position requires an interest in current design trends, knowledge and proficiency in various design software, proficiency in print, with an interest in digital design, and a shared belief that design can help make the world a better place.

Some of the key tasks they will be responsible for:
Working with the Design Director and their cross-office design team to absorb and assess the communications goals of our clients and help bring these concepts to life. The Designer will also be responsible for the production of proposals, presentations, and internal marketing materials.

Key Activities
• Creating original, compelling design using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Translating client needs visually as websites, infographics, print advertisements, identity design systems and other collateral work
• Present work to internal and external teams with the ability to demonstrate and defend the work and the thought process behind it
• Working with the marketing team to ensure the right look and consistency throughout the firm’s promotional channels
• Contributing to and formatting new business proposals to showcase our design prowess using Powerpoint
• Completing production work on demand as well as creating deliberative conceptual work
• Learning new design styles and staying on top of trends
