Junior Digital Copywriter

As part of a dynamic, in-house marketing team, a for-profit corporation is looking for a highly creative copywriter with multi-channel experience writing for a variety of audiences. This role will work on the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns as well as the development of content. The position will be responsible for developing concepts, writing
marketing copy and turning strategy into bold, compelling tactics intended to engage, attract and sell their products and services across all marketing channels. This position reports to a senior content and creative leader responsible for the brand’s expression across the firms digital properties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and business unit stakeholders to understand business
objectives, insight driven strategies and audience demographics.
- Advocate for and deliver creative and insightful ways to deliver big Ideas to
business unit clients that inspire them and build their business.
- Have a deep understanding of the importance of connecting copy with search
strategy for optimal digital performance.
- Develop clear concise, persuasive and brand-appropriate messaging across all
channels including social media, email marketing, sales promotions, digital
banners, mobile communications and other marketing materials.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, exercising quality control on all
copy, including obtaining approvals, fact-checking and editing/proofreading.
- Collaborate and work closely with colleagues across a variety of functional areas such
as design, digital marketing, campaign marketing, and the business units
among others.
- Help ensure all marketing communications maintain a high level of quality,
featuring a consistent tone and style to support and reinforce the brand


Qualifications
- Articulate thinker able to internalize creative direction, react quickly and interact
productively during brainstorms and meetings
- Current knowledge of the latest marketing and digital trends and technologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as a member of a
fast-paced, dynamic marketing team and forge strong working relationships
across departments
- Full command of the craft of advertising and promotional copywriting; able to
develop fresh, engaging and well-structured headlines, body copy and calls
to action
- Strong editing and proofreading skills a must; impeccable spelling, grammar,
punctuation
- Understands direct marketing principles and how copy drives response rates and
comfortable with writing subject line, offer and audience tests
- Exceptional attention to detail; ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately
- Proficiency in MS Office and other applications commonly used in business environments; HTML knowledge a plus
- Professional work ethic and a great attitude exemplifying excellence, integrity and team spirit
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications or related
field
- 3+ years of consumer marketing and copywriting experience including email marketing, banner, direct mail and promotions experience; experience writing for a variety of digital touch points (SEO experience a plus)
