Junior Designer (print & web) 12 month contract

We are looking for a Junior Designer to join a huge retail client in Central London to look after two of its sub-brands.

The Graphic Designer reports to the Manager of Art and Design is responsible for concepting, designing and maintaining the graphic visual language and identity for the client's brands, across a wide variety of media channels.

The candidate will work alongside the Manager of Art and Design by delivering, strong, crafted, design work, across a wide variety of media: Seasonal campaigns, instore events, outdoor and press ads, digital design, and corporate identities.

Alongside these final deliverables there will be creative exploration work that involves sourcing inspiring fashion led mood boards, that shows a keen passion and personal interest in typography, trends, photography, social media and a sound knowledge of current high street retail brands and how they communicate to their customers.

Job responsibility:

- In-store collateral - To design effective, cost-efficient windows and in-store signage to support seasonal campaigns, CSR initiatives, library signage and merchandise events.

- New store openings - Work in conjunction with Manager of Art and Design to produce impactful and on-brand tool kits and advertising/creative packs to help promote new store openings, refurbishments and relocations.

- Digital design - Working alongside the team to enhance the design and creative of our websites and digital executions

- Employer brand and Internal communications - Help design and create impactful communications design to support the CSR campaigns, the brand and various internal communications needs.

- Photography - Help produce concepts, mood boards, fashion trend boards, organize and execute superior fashion and home pictures to use across all media.

Brand guardian and team spirit:
- Be part of an in-house creative team protecting and developing the client's brands to maximum impact
- Brain-storm and share briefs/ideas as appropriate
- Follow design through the production process
- Be a team player and have a positive effect on the team

Qualifications and experience:
- Experience within fashion / retail /advertising arena
- Must have a dynamic, innovative, inspiring and varied portfolio
- A keen eye for detail and crafted typography
- A strong passion and interest in fashion is a big plus
- Ability to respond to a creative brief in a variety of styles
- An easy-going, enthusiastic and flexible approach
- An ability to work well under pressure and fast turn around
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine desire to succeed whilst working as part of a team
- Designing for Digital/E-com/Social media a big plus
- Must be fully conversant in Apple Mac, Photoshop, Adobe Suites and must be able to take design from initial concept to (near) final artwork stages
