Junior Designer - 3 month contract with the potential to go Permanent

Our client is a global digital education company that has supported educators for over 100 years, with a mission to help teachers, schools and universities develop and deliver the best education. Their higher education division, Times Higher Education, is looking for a Junior Designer to join their team in London.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a young and ambitious Junior Designer to play a key role to help develop customer relationships and achieve business goals, to gain exposure to a global brand and have opportunities for career progression.

The work is extremely varied, from small creative items, such as laying out online banners, through to designing elements for an entire campaign. You will occasionally need to work outside your comfort zone, and will expect you to endeavour to confidently deliver your work to the same high standards as always.

Responsibilities:
• Working alongside the creative and marketing teams delivering exquisite designs across all marketing collateral, encompassing both print and digital assets
• Timely design and production of marketing collateral and visuals for print and online campaigns
• Production of creative assets for the division, working with the content and product teams to ensure images are regularly updated and aligned to the brand and suggesting new ideas or areas for further development
• Developing creative concepts for smaller scale elements, and working with the senior team members on larger campaigns

About You:
• Energetic individual with a keen eye for beautiful design and desire to create an amazing customer experience
• Self-motivated, punctual, adaptable, flexible and willing to go the extra mile, with a ‘can do approach’ and a desire to learn
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS and an understanding of how to design for responsive web design systems is a bonus
• Strong exposure to print design and branding, with some exposure to email marketing and online advertising as a bonus
• Have an undergraduate degree in design
• Ability to take direction and interpret briefs in a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to work under pressure and prioritise your workload
• Confidence at multi-tasking and managing tight deadlines
